IUPA Local 6071 Union Meeting
January 26, 2012

The meeting was called to order by (Union Member) at 7:35 p.m.
 
Minutes:

The minutes from the December meeting were read by (Union Member).
 
Treasurer’s Report:

(Union Member) read the Treasurer's report. Rebate checks for local 6071 were discussed.
 
Motion to accept the Treasurer’s Report was made by (Union Member)  and seconded by (Union Member)
 
Unfinished Business:

  • Getting involved in endorsing candidates
  • Discussion of articles before members
  • Member interested in being Union Stewards
  • Documenting compensatory time
  • FTO pay for DORs
  • Finding an Attorney for criminal defense

 New Business:

  • 66% of the members present were in favor of endorsing a candidate or sheriff
  • The importance of documenting compensatory time was discussed
  • Overtime for FTOs has been confirmed in every district, 1 hr of OT per DOR
  • Names for a criminal defense Attorney were discussed


Miscellaneous:

  • Member packets were distributed during the meeting
  • The 2012 forms from the two life insurance companies were distributed


Closing:
(Union Member) made a motion to end the meeting and was seconded by (Union Member).  The meeting was adjourned at 8:28 p.m.
